Is it too Soon for SQL Server 2008?

SQL Server 2008 will be officially released upon the world on February 27, 2008. Microsoft also plans updates every 2 years and major releases every 4 years thereafter.

What's your take? Are you chomping at the bit to leverage new SQL Server 2008 functionality or management features? Is the dust still settling on your conversion to SQL Server 2005, or are you still planning your transition to SQL Server 2005?

Sound off and let us know where you're at and what you think.

Here's a link to a related topic over at SQL Server Magazine, where a majority of readers mentioned that they thought it was too early.

In some ways I'd almost agree, but SQL Server 2008 really does provide some nice new functionality that will be nice to have in a number of ways.
